Perangkat ini terbuat dari plastik tahan guncangan yang ringan dan memiliki dua transduser internal dengan kontak titik kering dengan alas tetap (150 mm). Ujung transduser yang tahan aus tidak sensitif terhadap kondisi permukaan. Oleh karena itu, tidak perlu menggunakan gel kopling atau menyiapkan permukaan objek untuk pengujian.
Perangkat ini memiliki indikasi suara ketika sinyal ultrasonik diterima, memori non-volatil yang memungkinkan penyimpanan 50.000 pengukuran (hasilnya dapat dikelompokkan) dan port USB untuk mentransfer data yang disimpan ke PC eksternal.
APPLICATION
Evaluation of the durability of concrete. The evaluation is based on correlation between time of propagation/velocity of longitudinal ultrasonic waves in concrete. Measurements are performed by the surface scanning with a fixed base.
